Comedy has the deepest and cheapest long tail of any genre. Stand-up specials and older sitcoms saturate the free ad-supported tiers, so before you rent a comedy it's almost always worth a look at Tubi or Pluto. Newer comedies behave differently: theatrical and streaming-original comedies stay locked to one subscription for a while, then scatter to rental. The thing to check on any comedy title page is whether the "included with subscription" option is a service you already pay for — comedy is the genre people most often over-pay to rent something that's free two clicks away.
