A fresh batch of famous faces wave goodbye to their lives of luxury and set up camp in the Australian wilderness for up to three weeks, battling bugs and Bushtucker Trials, rations and rain, and heat and hunger, all in the name of entertainment. This year, the celebrities have been divided into two groups and for the first time ever, the public will decide their fate before they even set foot in the jungle, choosing which group to send to the Celebrity Slammer - a jungle-style jail - where all manner of discomforts await, and where most importantly one of them will face the first Bushtucker Trial. The others will enjoy a final night of luxury. Ant and Dec follow the drama.

In previous years there have been mutinies and romances to go with the grumbling stomachs and skimpy bikinis. Within days this time we had the hysterics of Towie's Gemma, the sad news that forced Craig Charles to leave, plus the surprise arrival of Edwina Currie and X Factor's Jake Quickenden. Dramatic or what? But now it's over. Now we discover which of the initial constellation of "stars" will be relieving Kian Egan of his crown. Then the happy campers can teeter across the wobbly rope bridge, chuck the khaki shorts in the bin and themselves into a nice hot bath. It's the final to what has been an eventful three weeks in the Australian jungle, full of terrifying trials, sleepless nights and stomach-churning meals, and the celebrities who have gone all the way Carl Fogarty, Melanie Sykes and Jake Quickenden will now be looking forward to catching a plane home.
